Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a branch in physiotherapy that specialises in reducing pain and restoring strength and function in complex musculoskeletal conditions.
Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are members of the APA who have completed post graduate qualifications (usually a Master’s degree – a 2-3 years training process that only experienced physiotherapists are allowed to go through) in the specialised area of musculoskeletal physio.
As such, APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists have advanced training in the assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal problems. Their higher level of training enables them to assess, treat and manage complex conditions.
Mandatory continuing professional development programs conducted through the Australian Physiotherapy Association ensure that musculoskeletal physiotherapists continue to be the ambassador of the latest cutting-edge evidence-based approaches to the management of musculoskeletal conditions.
Maxvale Physiotherapy conducts weekly musculoskeletal physiotherapy training by the specialist physiotherapist Dr Max Lim for our physiotherapists to continually update ourselves of these programs.
We are a team of enthusiastic and energised physiotherapists who are passionate to assist and help our clients from all walks of life to relive their life and banish any pain that may be keeping them away from the life they always wanted to live. We treat you as a person and individualise your treatment, not a condition or a body part.
We listen and understand your concerns and assess your condition, diagnose the problem, and help you understand what’s wrong. Your treatment plan for musculoskeletal physio will take into account your lifestyle, activities and general health. We will go through your needs and the outcome that you want to achieve and address your concerns.
Led by Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Dr Max Lim (awarded by Australian College of Physiotherapist in 2013), we aim to constantly integrate new ideas and update our clinical skills and management strategies to allow our clients to achieve the greatest results in the best time possible.
We complement your therapy outcome with a range of modalities like dry needling, massage, clinical pilates, Aquatic Physiotherapy (water based exercise therapy), and exercise physiology.
If your condition is persistent and complex, our Specialist Physiotherapist can diagnose and prescribe the most appropriate musculoskeletal physiotherapy treatment. Contact us today to learn more.
